We hope you’re having a great offseason, resting up those rolling arms. Meanwhile, we have been making preparations for registration for the 2019 season.
Registration will open on Saturday, January 19th, and close at the end of Sunday, March 3rd.
Capos, when registration opens, you can register your team online at:
beniciabocce.org/registration
As usual, you will be required to log into the website to register. So, now is a good time to make sure you remember (or reset) your password, or if you do not yet have an account, create one. Registration fees remain the same as last year at $350 per team plus $10 per player, to be paid online with registration. Team requirements also remain the same, at 6 to 12 players.
We are also continuing the collection of liability waiver digital signatures online. In order for this process to run smoothly, we strongly encourage you provide email addresses for each member of your team when you register. They will be sent emails individually to collect their digital signature. Otherwise, you will need to meet with your players at a computer to get their digital signatures. All waiver signatures must be received by the Capo Meeting.
The Capo Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 30th, at 10am.
Registration Priority
During registration, you will need to make your top three choices of which division your team would like to play in. Teams will be placed into divisions with the following priorities. Ties go the first to register.
Returning teams staying in their division are guaranteed to stay in their division. Transfers are likely, depending on the popularity of the division you want to transfer to. If you want to transfer, it’s recommended you put your current division as a second or third pick, as a backup.
Also, after reviewing the (first annual) survey results, we’ve decided not to create separate competitive and casual divisions. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Finding a Team
If you are looking for a team to join, we’ve set up a Facebook group players connected to the teams that need them. Press the +Join Group button and make a post letting people know of your interest. More information can be found on this page.
Teams looking for players should join the group as well to snatch up the eager free agents.
Get excited! We’re looking forward to another great season. If you have any questions, you can reach us at info@beniciabocce.org.

Eleven artists working with the idea of spheres in motion will exhibit their work in the fun new
exhibit Bocce Balls and Other Human Propelled Spheres” at the Benicia Public Library. Artist Bodil Fox was inspired by the energy of the bocce ball games at the courts located next to the Library when she began playing the game a year ago. She decided to curate a show that would tap into this excitement. Artists living or exhibiting in Benicia working in metal, fiber, photography, glass, painting, ceramics, wood, concrete and kinetic art are creating artworks specifically for this exhibit.
The artists in this exciting exhibit are:
